Give your views on future objectives for EU-funded research and innovation

The European Commission is preparing the implementation of Horizon Europe, the next and most ambitious EU research and innovation programme (2021-2027) with a proposed budget of €100 billion, shaping research and development in the coming years.

The Commission has released a public online consultation, to collect inputs which will help to inform the development of a Strategic Plan for Horizon Europe. The consultation will help to answer the following questions, and more:

  • What do you think are the most pressing challenges that EU-funded research and innovation should tackle?
  • What are the most important impacts – scientific, technological, economic, societal – that EU-funded research and innovation should target?

The European Research and Innovation Days in Brussels from 24 to 26 September 2019 will help to facilitate the process of developing the Strategic Plan and aims to draw out the key issues facing society, such as climate change and solutions for an innovative, sustainable future.

The Commission invites anyone with an interest in future EU research and innovation to participate in the consultation. This consultation will close on 08 September 2019.
