The 25th International Walk21 Conference on Walking and Liveable Communities will be held on 6-10 October 2025 in Tirana, Albania. It is jointly organised by the Walk21 Foundation, City of Tirana and GIZ, and will gather experts from the Balkans, Europe, and beyond to share their expertise on developing walking policies and programmes that make streets and public spaces more accessible and enjoyable for people.
Over five days, the conference will elaborate on transformative actions that promote walking and creating walkable communities worldwide. It will feature discussions on community priorities, planning, and infrastructure investments and its effects on reshaping urban mobility, improving walking experiences and drawing investments for walking. The main themes of the conference are

(4) Pathways to Better Policy
(5) Capacity and Creativity
The call for contributions in this year's conference is open until 14 March 2025.
