The Cities Forum 2025, co-organised by the European Commission (DG REGIO) and the European Urban Initiative (EUI), will take place from 17-19 June 2025 in Kraków, Poland.

The Forum provides a unique platform for dialogue on the EU's policy agenda for cities, bringing together key decision-makers, city representatives and experts from across Europe. It is an opportunity to exchange ideas, contribute to discussions shaping the future of cities and gain valuable insights from peers facing similar challenges.

The Cities Forum is an opportunity for connection, collaboration and innovation. Over three days, participants will engage in high-level debates, interactive workshops and site visits, discovering how cities are tackling urban challenges and driving sustainability. 

• Day 1 - Setting the stage: The Forum will kick off with a focus on funding sustainable urban development, followed by site visits around Kraków to see how the city is promoting sustainable urban planning through EU Cohesion policy funds. 
• Day 2 - Deep dives into key urban priorities: The EU Stakeholder Dialogue will set the tone for discussing the EU policy agenda for cities. Parallel sessions will address key topics such as affordable housing, climate action, digital transition, and inclusive growth. 
• Day 3 - Looking ahead: The Forum will conclude with the Mayors' debate, where city leaders will discuss climate resilience, social inclusion, and digital transformation.  

Beyond the main sessions, participants will dive into further key urban challenges, from sustainable mobility to urban regulation and cultural heritage, exploring innovative solutions.
