Deadline extended for applications to join next SUMPs-Up learning programmes

Does your city want support in developing a package of measures for a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP)? Is your city or region in the process of elaborating a SUMP? Then apply to join the next round of the SUMP Learning Programme (SLP) from CIVITAS SUMPs-Up!

The application deadline has been extended to 18:00 CET on 23 April.

Up to 40 planning authorities have the chance to participate in SLP 3 and 4, which start in September and December 2018 respectively. Together these two groups of mobility practitioners will form the second Expert Group of SUMP cities.

The six-month programmes combines knowledge transfer, testing and assessment with learning on concepts, approaches, tools, and methodologies for the development of SUMPs.

Both programmes focus on the SUMP elaboration process. The activities blend online and face-to-face learning and exchange. Participants also benefit from peer review and one-to-one support from SUMPs-Up's mobility experts.

SUMPs-Up is seeking mobility and transport professionals active in local or regional transport planning authorities with sustainable mobility planning experience. Those currently elaborating their first SUMP are also encouraged to apply.

All applicants must be based in a European Union Member State or a country in the European Economic Area.

The application deadline is 18:00 CET on 8 April. All call documentation and the application form can be accessed below.
