Intermobility Future Ways: Exploring Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans and Shared Mobility Solutions

The Intermobility Future Ways Forum will take place from 19 to 21 November 2024, at the Rimini Expo Centre in Rimini, Italy. 

The event is organised in collaboration with the Foundation for Sustainable Development and the National Observatory of Sharing Mobility and Euromobility. The objective of this forum is to explore the current status, evolutionary trends and main drivers of change affecting sustainable and shared mobility. The discussion will focus on innovations arising from the transition to a green and digital economy, which is creating a demand for new organisational models and the redefinition of services, modes and means of transport. 

The programme features a range of sessions aimed at enhancing knowledge and practices in Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning (SUMP). Some examples include the following sessions, taking place on Tuesday 19 November: 

• New Objectives for Cities (SUMPs 2.0): Focusing on enhancing SUMP and setting new ambitions for sustainable urban mobility. 
• Strategic Use of Mobility Data: Discussing how data can inform and improve urban mobility strategies. 
• How to Increase the Availability of Demand-Responsive Services: Exploring innovative approaches to integrate ridesharing and other transport services into urban mobility systems. 
• Best Practices and Innovative Solutions in Shared Mobility: Discussing successful examples of shared mobility in practice. 
• More Shared Mobility, Less Transport Poverty: Exploring the relationship between shared mobility solutions and reducing transport poverty.

Participation is encouraged from mobility agencies, local or regional administrators, public transportation companies, managers of roads and highways, mobility managers and other stakeholders with an interest in advancing sustainable mobility solutions in Italy. The forum will be conducted in-person, providing a platform for networking and collaboration among participants.
