The Sustainable Tourism Partnership webinar on Guidelines for enabling climate-friendly and resilient urban destinations will take place online on 2 December 2025 from 10:00 to 11:30 CET. Organised by the Urban Agenda for the EU Partnership on Sustainable Tourism, the session will bring together cities, policymakers, destination managers and tourism professionals to discuss approaches fo advancing climate-neutral and resilient tourism in European cities.
The webinar will introduce the new guidelines, which outline how European cities can measure impacts, reduce emissions, support regeneration, collaborate effectively and finance climate-friendly tourism. Speakers will include city representatives, tourism leaders and EU-level experts sharing results from pilot destinations featured in the guidelines.
The programme will also cover:
- Designing and implementing Climate Action Plans (CAPs) tailored to urban tourism
- Governance and monitoring tools that support measurable progress
- Innovative financing and collaborative mechanisms driving green transformation
- Local and regional success stories showcasing how tourism can contribute to resilience and regeneration
