The video clip shows the efforts that Paris is making to become a cycle-friendly city, highlighting some of the measures that have been implemented.

These include:

  • the removal of the riverside road on the bank of the Seine, which was turned back into a pedestrian and cycle path
  • the cycling expressway network that is currently being implemented
  • the establishment of 10 000 bicycle parking facilities
  • the implementation of 30 km/h speed-limit zones and against-the-flow-of-traffic bicycle lanes
