Second edition of the European Startup Prize for Mobility is underway

On December 13th 2018, the second edition of the European Startup Prize for Mobility (EUSP) was announced at a ceremony held at the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and Solidarity, in Paris.

EUSP is public-private initiative co-founded by the European Parliament’s Transport and Tourism Committee Chairwoman, Karima Delli, Boston Consulting Group and Via ID. It is also supported by the European Parliament, the European Commission and a number of influential partners. The competition invites mobility startups from around Europe to participate in an accelerator programme that supports the startups to develop their sustainable mobility innovations and provides them with the resources necessary to scale up within Europe. In total, six will win the Silver Award packages and four will win the Gold Award package - gaining access to benefits such as a European tour of five tech events, and business and legal mentoring.

Last year, 500 applications from 28 countries took part and in 2019 the prize wants to "go further and stronger". Speaking at the ceremony, Jean-François Dhinaux, Head of Strategy of Via-ID said;  “European startups need to believe that their playground is Europe and not just their country”.
