The MobiliseYourCity Mastering Mobility Series 2022

Over the last few months the MobiliseYourCity Mastering Mobility Series have been taking place, which have offered an opportunity for discussion and learning on transport planning.

This year’s Mobility Training Series covered a variety of subjects ranging from promoting active and public transport to establishing transport authorities. Participants learned how to diagnose and finance active mobility in their cities, how to integrate gender perspectives and participation processes in mobility planning(link is external), and new approaches to improve paratransit. The Series also provided case studies for net-zero cities, using Berlin, and the Global South, in particular the African continent, for changing the opinion on paratransit towards a facilitative and integrative approach.

The recordings and materials for each of the 7 Training Series sessions are available on the Knowledge Platform or can be found on YouTube at this link. The sessions are as follows:

  1. How walkable and bicycle-friendly is your city? Learn to conduct a diagnosis of active mobility
  2. Digital mapping and digital commons: Bridging the data gap on informal public transport in Morocco (in French)
  3. Mobility for all? Integrating gender perspectives into SUMPs and NUMPs
  4. Participation matters: how to prepare a participatory process for mobility planning
  5. It’s all about the money: secure the financing for walking and cycling in your city
  6. BERLIN – Shaping net-zero cities with active and public transport by MYC
  7. AFRICA – Establishing a Transport Authority: Team up to work with Paratransit
