The EU-funded project “ELPT Expert on Local Public Transport. A tran-sectoral and transnational innovative expertise and monitoring tool” is a Strategic Partnership aimed at developing innovative outputs in the field of Vocational Training for Local Public Transport Systems (LPTS), developed transnationally and on the basis of a coordinated action among research, LTPSs businesses, VET providers and local communities.
ELP Transport has gone live with two events in Ancona, Italy, to present first results and discuss the future of public mobility.
The first Multiplier event and the Learning Activity among projects partners took place in Ancona, Italy, between 28-31 March 2022 and fostered debate and collaboration on the future of public transport at European level and related training offer, between digitalisation, sustainability and changing users-needs accelerated by the pandemic. Led by the project Leader Conerobus Service (IT) and Marche Polytechnic University, Dept of Economics (IT), partners also in Conerobus’s Mobility Academy, the Multiplier Event on 28th March presented the first results: the innovative profile, the e-learning platform (accessible in the English version from 11 April to all registered users) and the Work Based Experience, plus an innovative monitoring tool aimed at updating the profile with changing market needs, to support Training Planning at various territorial levels.
The Multiplier Event was followed by an insightful Round Table on “The Future of European Mobility: Innovation, Sustainability and Training” participated by Italian stakeholders like APT Gorizia, Tiemme spa Siena, CTM SpA Cagliari. In the following days the partners, including the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb (CRO), the Universitat Politècnica de València (ES), the Institute for business education CPU (SLO), Consorci de la Ribera (ES), and Centre for Social innovation (CY) worked in view of the forthcoming Pilots in Italy, Spain (Open Call) and Croatia and had the chance to visit Conerobus headquarters, interviewing key staff members.
