Entries now open for the Excellence in Road Safety Awards 2024

Entries for the 2024 Road Safety Awards are now open! 

The Excellence in Road Safety Awards are an opportunity to recognise road safety projects and initiatives across the EU. If you know of any projects that deserve EU-wide recognition you can apply now to win. Your award application will give you a chance to win a prestigious European award, whilst helping to share good practices from across Europe.

The awards are also an opportunity to inspire others and help build greater momentum towards the Vision Zero goal – reducing road deaths to almost zero by 2050. 

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 14 November 2024, in Brussels and online.

The categories that will be considered for 2024 are the following: 

• Urban Road Safety Award (open to municipal, city and regional authorities)
• Best project supporting road safety for vulnerable road users: pedestrians and cyclists
• Best use of technology and innovation to promote road safety
• Best project supporting road safety in motorcycling
• Best project promoting road safety education

To create your submission, you must be an existing member of the Road Safety Charter and be logged into the website to access your account. You can then select 'Create an award submission' under 'My account' or once logged in, click here.
