DUT Partnership invites stakeholder input for 2025 and 2026 Urban Innovation Calls

The Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Partnership is calling on stakeholders to contribute to shaping the priorities for its 2025 and 2026 joint calls for research and innovation projects. This initiative aims to address key urban challenges through a participatory survey, focusing on three thematic areas: Circular Urban EconomiesPositive Energy Districts, and the 15-minute City. The survey, open until 19 January 2025, invites input from a diverse range of urban professionals, including policymakers, researchers, and entrepreneurs, to help create more inclusive, sustainable, and livable cities. Click here to access the participatory survey.

The DUT Partnership, a collaboration between 68 partners from 29 European countries and the European Commission, is dedicated to enhancing urban sustainability and quality of life. By launching annual calls for research and innovation projects, DUT connects stakeholders from various backgrounds, fostering communities and capacities that translate project results into practical solutions. The partnership emphasises a participatory and co-creative approach, linking place-based interventions with a system innovation perspective and applying a broad definition of innovation.

Participants in the survey can provide feedback on the relevance of different urban challenges and priorities, helping to shape the focus of future calls. The survey is structured around the three thematic areas, allowing respondents to choose sections based on their expertise and interests. The results will inform the development of the 2025 and 2026 calls, ensuring they address the most pressing urban issues. Responses will be kept anonymous and used internally, with the DUT Partnership adhering to GDPR regulations. This collaborative effort aims to harness the collective expertise of urban professionals to drive meaningful transitions in cities across Europe.

For more information on the thematic areas, you can read about them here or take a look at the DUT Roadmap. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback on the survey, please contact Sophie Hödl at sophie [dot] hoedlataustriatech [dot] at (sophie[dot]hoedl[at]austriatech[dot]at).
