Draft programme released for CIVITAS Forum 2019

The draft programme for the CIVITAS Forum 2019 is now available to read and download!

Spanning three days from 2-4 October, the 2019 edition of Europe's top transport event will be held in Graz (Austria).

With the very first Forum having taken place in Graz in 2003, this year's event has chosen to go 'Back to the Future'. How and why has the world of transport changed during this time? What must be done to ensure a continued transition towards sustainable, safe, inclusive and connected mobility? To examine these crucial questions, the Forum will look at the interplay between new technology and classic mobility solutions in the present day.

Through a series of 30 parallel sessions, participants will explore and exchange on these and other urgent transport topics, whilst discovering outstanding work from within and beyond the CIVITAS Initiative. These include interactive take-up and transfer sessions, which get attendees hands-on with cutting-edge urban mobility tools. Beyond this, leading transport planners and policymakers from across Europe will address attendees in the Forum's plenary sessions, providing their perspective on the event's central theme.

The opening plenary will also see the long-awaited launch of the revised EU SUMP Guidelines. Two sets of site visits also provide the perfect opportunity to see why Graz exemplifies the intelligent application of technological solutions together with a citizen-focused mobility vision.

As is tradition, the winners of the prestigious CIVITAS Awards will be revealed in a lavish ceremony.

Do not miss your chance to see Europe's sustainable mobility superstars!
