The European Startup Prize for Mobility unveiled the list of 50 finalists selected in the 2019 edition of the Prize.
This announcement launches a citizen vote on Facebook in order to choose 10 winners from the 50 finalists. Supported by both the European Parliament and the European Commission, the programme aims to promote European startups developing sustainable, safe and inclusive mobility innovations in Europe and beyond. Selected from 600 candidates who participated in the second edition of the Prize, 50 startup finalists have been evaluated by a committee of 60 European experts, based on criteria such as economics, innovation, ecological benefit, company structure and the European vision of the project.
For the first time, the 10 winners of the Prize will be selected by public vote, taking place on the Facebook page of the Prize and open to all between 28 February and 25 March 2019. To vote, Facebook users will have to ‘like’ a video of their favourite project. On 25 March, the startup that received the most likes will be the winner of the public vote. The 9 remaining winners, including 4 ‘’super-winners’’, will be nominated by the Jury, bringing together leading European personalities from the mobility sector at the awards ceremony taking place in Brussels on 11 April 2019.
The list of the 50 finalists is available here.
