5 cities shortlisted for EU Cities for Fair and Ethical Trade Award 2021!

The European Commission and the International Trade Centre (ITC) have just announced the shortlist of five cities for the EU Cities for Fair and Ethical Trade Award 2021.

The shortlisted cities are:

  • Bremen (Germany);
  • Gothenburg (Sweden);
  • Malmö (Sweden);
  • Neumarkt (Germany);
  • Stuttgart (Germany).

This award is the European Commission’s initiative that celebrates EU cities pioneering more sustainable trade, production and consumption. Residents of these cities can drive changing attitudes towards trade and have a positive impact on the environment. These awards aim to create a platform for cities to learn and share.

With the cities shortlisted, a seven-member Jury will select a winner in late September. The shortlisted cities are invited to pitch their projects in front of the Jury.

The winner will be announced, along with the special mentions, at the Award Ceremony in Ghent, Belgium on 16 October 2020.
